Hosta Permafrost will form a small to medium-sized mound, reaching approximately 36cm-40cm in height with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. This Hosta is a sport of Hosta First Frost, distinguished by its wider margins. In spring, it features heart-shaped blue leaves with wide, bright gold margins that are of excellent substance and are particularly striking. During the summer, the leaves transition to a blue-green hue while the margins fade to cream. Pale lavender flowers emerge in summer on scapes that can reach heights of up to 75cm. This Hosta is slug resistant.
