Hosta Shimmer will form a medium mound of 20-25cm in height, with a spread of up to 70cm at maturity. The foliage is intensely blue-green in colour with a pale yellow marginal variegation. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly twisted, moderately folded, slightly corrugated and has glaucous bloom on the top and bottom. The foliage is of excellent substance and looks great throughout the season, holding its piercing blue colour well. By late summer, the creamy leaf margins have faded to crisp white, This Hosta produces lavender flowers in July & August, held on 50cm scapes. It is also slug resistant.
