Hosta Smiling Mouse forms a miniature mound reaching 15cm-20cm in height, with a spread of up to 36cm at maturity. As one of the more recent additions to the mouse Hosta series, it features blue-green leaves with a very wavy greenish-yellow margin that transitions to white. The leaves exhibit a curled appearance with a creamy white border. In spring, the blue-green leaves have a chartreuse margin that turns nearly pure white by late summer, with overlapping grey streaks where the margin and centre meet. Some leaves may fold in half, adding to its unique beauty. Lavender flowers emerge atop the clump, held aloft on 25cm scapes, from late June to July. This variety is also noted for its slug resistance and tolerance to sunlight.
