Hosta Stand by Me will form a medium-sized plant, reaching approximately 45cm-50cm in height with a spread of up to 65cm at maturity. This variety is a distinctive sport of Hosta June, bred by Marco & Joyce Fransen. It exhibits similar colouring to its parent but features a different leaf shape and mound size. The Hosta has upright yellowish-green leaves with highly irregular blue borders and extensive streaking towards the centre. Hosta Stand by Me produces lavender flowers on scapes that can reach up to 105cm, typically blooming from late July through August. Hosta Stand by Me is  sun-tolerant, and slug resistant.
