Hosta Bedford Blue will form a medium sized mound of 12"-14" in height with a spread of up to 24" at maturity. It has pale chalky, blue-green, ovate leaves, with a purple tinge to the mid-rib. Leaf size 4"x 4". Prominent veins like its Hosta hypoleuca parent. A good intense blue colour once it gets going. Lavender flowers appear in July to August on 18" scapes. Slug resistant and sun tolerant.
