Hosta Amos will form a large mound of 70-80 cm in height with a spread of up to 180cm at maturity. It was found by Olga Petryszyn and given/sold to Dan Cauffman of Chesterton, of Indiana It is a seedling of Hosta Big John. It has a semi-upright form with thick blue-green leaves that are slightly corrugated. The leaves are enormous and somewhat unruly. Extremely thick leaves that cup upward and downward have a wrinkled appearance. Almost white flower appear on green scapes of about 120 cm in June & July. It is slug resistant and It grows better in dappled shade.
