Hosta Beach Boy will form a loose mound of 16"-18" in height with a spread of up to 28" at maturity. It is a recent (2011) sport of Hosta Dream Weaver from Holland. Lovely rounded, heart-shaped, golden yellow centres surrounded by a blue-green border. The leaves are very thick with a superb substance to them. They emerge with a thin blue-green margin and bright yellow centres, which changes to almost white as the season progresses. The leaves are slightly wavy and have some cupping to them. Like Hosta Great Expectations, but with a much thicker leaf, and a better grower. White flowers are held on 26" scapes in July & August. Good slug resistance and sun tolerance.
