Hosta Katie Q forms a medium to large mound, reaching heights of 40cm-55cm and a spread of up to 115cm at maturity. The leaves are moderately wavy, slightly corrugated, and of average substance. This plant is a sport of Hosta Marilyn and features contrasting colours. The leaves display dark green centres with medium gold margins. During spring, the heart-shaped leaves are blue green with bright gold margins, transitioning to green leaves with wavy yellow margins in summer. Katie Q is particularly noted for its vivid colours. In July, this Hosta produces pale lavender flowers on scapes that can reach heights of up to 75cm.
