Hosta Ophir forms a medium sized mound of 18" tall by 48" wide at maturity. It is a distinctly vase-shaped Hosta with striking bright yellow, wavy leaves that are elliptical when young becoming more ovate as it grows. The petioles are slightly cherry-red specked near the base, which creates a lovely effect.  Pale lavender blooms on scapes of about 36", appear late summer atop the golden foliage. Forms dense clumps with soft leaves falling down alongside, making it a fabulous specimen in a pot. Colour will eventually fade to chartreuse as the season ends, but a wonderful looking Hosta. Loves the sun but not the slugs.
