Hosta Red Hot Flash will form a small sized mound, 10"-16" in height, with a spread of up to 24", at maturity. It is upright but spreading, and the clump is composed of medium-green leaves with a very wide, golden centre that changes to parchment as it matures. One of the neat effects is to constantly have both colour leaf centres on the plant simultaneously. The red-tinted leaf petiole adds another dimension of interest to this unique hosta. The clump is topped with 26" tall spikes of pale purple flowers in July & August. Not sun tolerant or slug resistant.
