Hosta Urchin will form a small mound of 15-25cm in height, with a spread of up to 35cm at maturity. This unique little Hosta has leaves with lots of ruffles that appear to have points at their ends. The green leaves stick up from the clump like spines, urchin spines. Upright, elongated green leaves with a wavy margin, carried on red petioles. It likes partial shade. Lavender flowers are held on 90cm long purple scapes in July & August.
