Hosta One Man's Treasure is a medium sized Hosta that typically grows in an arching mound of about 12"-16” in height, and spreads to as much as 32” wide, at maturity. Hosta One Man’s Treasure is perhaps best noted for its showy burgundy-spotted leaf petioles, but it additionally displays interesting burgundy to purple colouration in its leaf bases, flower scapes, flowers and seed pods. Wide-oval, glossy green leaves with heart-shaped to open bases have showy petioles. Bell-shaped violet flowers appear in late summer on leafy, burgundy-red scapes rising above the foliage mound to 24” tall. Resulting seedpods are purple. It is suggested to have good slug resistance as well and could even show some tolerance towards the sun. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
