Hosta Pocketful of Sunshine will form a small mound of about 10"-12" in height, with a spread of up to 20", at maturity. This is a sport of Hosta Rainforest Sunrise, with wider dark green margins. It forms a small, compact clump of thick, leathery, and distinctively cupped foliage. Leaf centres emerge chartreuse and brighten as the season progresses. Proving to be a real stand-out Hosta. It appears to be a good stable plant that has not been plagued with any of the production problems seen in its cousin plants. Pale lavender flowers appear on 15" scapes above the foliage, from July into August. This one is a little sun tolerant, but even though the leaves are of reasonably good substance, it is not slug resistant.
