Hosta Regal Splendour will from a large, vase-shaped mound reaching a height of 70 cm to 80 cm and a spread of up to 150 cm at maturity. Its leaves are elliptical and slightly wavy, with long, arching stalks that bear thick, ovate to lance-shaped, veined, grey-green leaves featuring irregular ivory to yellow margins. The slender scapes produce fragrant, bell-shaped, grey-flushed, pale pink flowers on stems that can grow up to 170 cm tall during mid to late summer. A sport of Hosta Krossa Regal, it maintains the same upright, vase-shaped mound of foliage. This Hosta is slug resistant and sun tolerant. Recognised for its exceptional qualities, it was awarded the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 2003 and the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
