Hosta Regal Splendour develops into a large, vase-shaped mound reaching a height of 70 cm to 80 cm and a spread of up to 150 cm at maturity. This plant exemplifies elegance on a grand scale. Its leaves are elliptical and slightly wavy, with long, arching stalks that bear thick, ovate to lance-shaped, veined, grey-green leaves featuring irregular ivory to yellow margins. The slender scapes produce racemes of fragrant, bell-shaped, grey-flushed, pale pink flowers on stems that can grow up to 170 cm tall during mid to late summer. A sport of Hosta Krossa Regal, it maintains the same upright, vase-shaped mound of foliage. Additionally, this species is sun-tolerant and resistant to slugs, making it an excellent architectural specimen suitable as a focal point in any garden setting. Recognized for its exceptional qualities, it was awarded the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 2003 and the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
