Hosta Big Beauty forms a substantial mound, reaching 70cm-80cm in height with a spread of up to 140cm at maturity. The large blue-green leaves feature a yellow margin that can transition to white depending on light exposure. This variety maintains a reasonably upright habit throughout the season. It produces pale lavender flowers held above the foliage on scapes up to 105cm during June and July. The large, thick leaves provide significant resistance to slugs; however, it should be kept out of direct midday sun. Hosta Big Beauty prefers dappled shade and full shade environments.
