Hosta Clear Fork River Valley will form a large, upright, clump of 70-80cm in height, with a spread of up to 140cm at maturity. According to Mark Zillis it is ranked as one of the best for intense corrugation and dark green foliage. It has a large, nearly oval, very deep blue-green leaves. One of the Hostas, with the most puckered leaves. Leaves are very puckered between veins, puckers are highly humped. Convexly cupped, somewhat unruly and has thick substance. Hosta Clear Fork River Valley  blooms near white flowers from late June into July held on relatively short scapes of 80cm tall. The great substance of the leaves make this slug resistant and somewhat sun tolerant.
