Hosta Golden Spear will form a medium sized clump of 35-40cm in height, with a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. It has a mass of spear-shaped green leaves with a wide central midrib of cream-yellow. A lovely very tidy, compact specimen. Looks fabulous in a container. Looks very much like a slightly larger version of Hosta Gypsy Rose. It has lavender flowers, rising on 60cm scapes in July & August. Probably slug resistant and sun tolerant. It has a medium growth rate but once mature is a magnificent specimen.
