Hosta Ripple Effect will form a small sized mound of 10"-14" in height, with a spread of up to 16", at maturity. This unique new variety, is a sport of Hosta June. It is a great favourite, with its unusual appearance. Heavily twisted, leaves that emerge bright yellow with a thin blue margin in spring, maturing in the season to chartreuse with a green margin. The leaves have a wild twisting and curling that is just incredible! A very versatile Hosta as it can be positioned in sun or shade, as its appearance changes, the pictures show both colours the brighter one has been grown in a sunnier position and the bluer in shade. Reported to be slug resistant as well as sun tolerant. Light lavender flowers appear in summer on 24" long scapes.
