Hosta Winged Valkyrie will form a large sized mound of 50-60cm in height, with a spread of up to 70cm at maturity. It is a vase-shaped open Hosta, with bright yellow leaves held on red petioles. A great contrast. The veins on the leaves are ribbed to form a slight shadow. The leaves are large and spear-shaped. Its upright growing habit shows of it wonderful red petioles which hold the leaves up well for a wonderful display. The lavender flowers appear in July & August and are held on wonderful red scapes of about 90cm long. This Hosta prefers semi shade and shade. Part of our Special Collection.
