Hosta Banana Kid forms a medium to large mound of 40cm-45cm in height with a spread of up to 65cm at maturity. This variety features lance-shaped leaves in a golden yellow colour and has a heavily textured surface. The strong waxy leaves provide contrast with other plants. In late summer, trumpet-shaped, purple flowers appear on 70cm scapes against the yellow foliage. It grows quickly and requires minimal care. It is tolerant of the early morning and afternoon sun. Fast growing and carefree.
