Hosta Midnight Oil will form a medium sized mound of 35-40cm in height, with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. It has dark green, thick rounded leaves, and are heavily puckered making an outstanding clump. The leaves are very shiny and stand straight up. A great Hosta from B. & D. Stegeman with an unruly and intensely corrugated look. Purple striped flowers really stand out above the green foliage on scapes of 60cm in July & August. Both slug resistant and sun tolerant.
