The Hosta Brother Ronald forms a medium-sized, compact clump reaching 38cm-45cm in height with a spread of up to 90cm at maturity. It presents as a ground-hugging, rounded clump with pointed, heart-shaped leaves. Initially blue, the leaf colour transitions to green blue later in the season. Originating from the Tardiana group, it is among the bluest varieties within this category. The leaves, considered by some to be very blue, are rigid and angled upwards. Almost pure white flowers bloom on scapes up to 80cm tall during June and July. The plant's heavy substance provides excellent resistance to slugs.
