Hosta Climax will form a large mound of about 20"-24" in height with a spread of up to 50" at maturity. Unlike its parent, Hosta 'High Noon' it does not have yellow leaves, but they have a nice, soft, green colour with creamy edges. Leaves have a nice venation and it is moderately wrinkled. The plant has a slightly upright appearance. In the second half of the summer the clump is decorated with lavender flowers, held upon scapes of up to 30" in height. The more shade the bigger contrast. 'Afternoon Delight' is very similar /the same cultivar. Hosta Climax is slug resistant, and sun tolerant.
