Hosta Buffalo Amber Waves forms a very small mound measuring 10cm-15cm in height with a spread of up to 20cm at maturity. This miniature plant features upright, yellow leaves with white backs, a heavy substance, and yellow rippled margins. The semi-upright mound is described as elegant and majestic. Its gold-margined foliage and pale lavender flowers with purple stripes on 30cm scapes in August make it an excellent specimen. The light greenish-yellow foliage changes to yellow with slightly wavy borders. It grows quickly into a very dense clump and appears to be both slug-resistant and sun-tolerant.
