Hosta Faithful Heart forms a miniature mound of 15cm-25cm with a spread of up to 60cm at maturity. This variety, a sport of Hosta Cheatin Heart, can be identified from a distance despite its small size. The leaves start as all gold, similar to the parent plant, but develop a dark green leaf margin in late spring. The small, rounded leaves are golden-yellow with a broad green margin. Sturdy 36cm scapes produce racemes of bell-shaped lavender flowers in July atop a fast-growing clump that maintains its appearance throughout the season. This vigorous mound tolerates sun well.
