Hosta Silver Threads and Golden Needles forms a compact miniature mound of 15cm-20cm in height, with a spread of up to 36cm at maturity. It has gold leaves with streaks and flecks of green and white in the centre. The plant grows vigorously and shows different characteristics from leaf to leaf and plant to plant depending on sun exposure. It can handle direct sunlight and displays significant amounts of white in the leaf under such conditions. Lavender flowers bloom on scapes up to 30cm tall in mid-summer. This plant is a vigorous grower with many streaks and thrives best in half shade to full shade.
