Hosta Devon Green will form a mound reaching 45cm-50cm in height, with a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. It is a robust Hosta that produces a medium-sized mound of thick, shiny dark green leaves with substantial texture. The glossy, heart-shaped leaves are slightly cupped and exhibit prominent veining. With excellent pest resistance and a solid, uniform colour, it effectively breaks up displays of variegated plants. The plant produces pale lavender flowers on 80cm scapes from late July to mid-August. Renowned for its sun tolerance and resistance to slugs, it is an ideal Hosta for ease of cultivation and provides contrast to many coloured or variegated varieties. It is a sport of Hosta Halcyon. Hosta Devon Green has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is highly recommended for any collector due to its unique qualities.
