Hosta Dewed Steel will form an upright, vase-shaped medium mound of 15"-18" in height with a spread of up to 36" at maturity. A Hosta with unique aqua-blue, slightly wavy blue leaves, that show off their white undersides. Lots of glaucous bloom on this Hosta giving it a steel-blue look. Leaves held upright on sturdy petioles that are speckled with purple at the base. Striped, lavender flowers held on 24" tall scapes, in August & into September. Excellent substance making it very slug resistant. The blue bloom protects the leaf surface from the sun, making it fairly sun tolerant.
