Hosta Emily Dickinson forms a medium mound, reaching approximately 45cm-55cm in height with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. This variety is noted for its variegated foliage and highly fragrant flowers. It develops into a medium-sized, somewhat upright mound of leaves that are slightly rounded, long, ovate, and medium green in colour, featuring a cream margin. In mid-summer, the clumps produce 75cm scapes adorned with dark lavender, highly fragrant flowers. This plant serves as an excellent specimen for placement beside an entranceway. It exhibits a robust growth rate, facilitating swift establishment and maturity. While older leaves may be susceptible to slug damage, the plant generally remains trouble-free and can tolerate some sun exposure.
