Hosta Great Arrival develops into an expansive mound reaching approximately 70cm-75cm in height, with a spread of up to 125cm at maturity. This variety is a reverse-coloured sport of the Hosta Great Expectations, notable for its appealing foliage and medium to vigorous growth rate. The blue-green centres are highlighted by bright gold margins in the spring, which transition to creamy white over time. The leaves of the Hosta Great Arrival are heavily corrugated and possess a thick substance that resists spring desiccation burn. In mid-July, near-white flowers bloom on scapes exceeding 100cm in length. This cultivar is resistant to slugs and can tolerate partial sunlight, though it is advisable to avoid midday sun exposure. It is an excellent choice for use as a standalone plant or as a container specimen.
