Hosta Fireworks will form a small mound of just 8"-10" in height with a spread of 6"-8" spread at maturity. This is a real eye catching miniature to small variety. Best kept in a pot. Bright white leaves and a dark green margin. Lovely Fireworks is a compact mound-forming, deciduous perennial bearing thick, wavy, narrowly ovate to heart-shaped, creamy-white leaves with dark green margins. Upright scapes bear racemes of fragrant, funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowers held on 12" scapes, in midsummer. Good slug resistance. Protect from hot afternoon sun. A sport of Hosta Loyalist and although it is quite vigorous, it does not grow as big as its parent. Hosta Fireworks has a reputation as a ‘difficult’ hosta. Needs very good light and a regular seaweed feed to stimulate root growth if it is to grow well.RHS Award Of Garden Merit.
