Hosta Hadspen Blue will form an elegant medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 40cm-45cm and spreading up to 100cm at maturity. It features heart-shaped, smooth leaves that develop some dimpling with age. These leaves are thick-textured, lightly ribbed, lightly cupped, and have a glaucous, rich blue hue. In midsummer, pale lavender, bell-shaped blooms appear on blue-grey scapes approximately 75cm tall. Although it matures more slowly than most varieties, it is well worth the wait. It has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS and is an excellent choice for any collector of blue Hostas. This Hosta is resistant to slugs and tolerant of sunlight.
