Hosta Hawaiian Luau will from a medium mound of 40-50cm in height, with a spread of up to 80cm at maturity. Wavy, thick golden yellow leaves with a wide grey-green border. A sport of Hosta Pineapple Upsidedown Cake and probably tetraploid, with thicker leaves and better colouring. Early spring centres are chartreuse and by summer the centres are bright yellow. It has pale lavender flowers later in the year, in August & September held aloft on 90cm scapes. It grows in sun and shade.
