Hosta Holar Black Swan will form an open mound of 35-40cm in height, with a spread of up to 80cm at maturity. A cross of Hosta One man's Treasure & Hosta Red Neck Heaven. A medium-sized Hosta with greenish/yellow leaves on red petioles. What makes it special is that in the spring, the yellow leaves have red veins and a red margin. For a good leaf colour, a location with a few hours of sunlight is recommended. Elegantly curving, shiny leaves have a ruffled edge. Hosta Holar Black Swan looks sleek and fresh all season long. It flowers later than most, in August & September, with lavender flowers held on 75cm purple scapes and grows in sun and shade. Slug resistant too.
