Hosta Lady Guinevere develops into a medium-sized mound approximately 45cm-50cm in height, with a spread extending up to 75cm when fully mature. The plant features yellow-variegated leaves that enhance the deeper green margins. Its small, textured, narrow leaves maintain a golden hue accented by prominent bluish-green variegation throughout the growing season. The pointed, ruffled leaves distinguish it from other Hosta varieties. This plant is particularly notable for its numerous delicate spikes of purple flower buds, which open to lavender tubular flowers atop 90cm scapes during mid-summer. While not especially resistant to slugs, cultivating this plant in a container can mitigate slug damage. It thrives best in partial shade, although it can benefit from morning sunlight, but should be shielded from the midday sun.
