Hosta Slim & Trim will form a small mound of 8" tall and about 16" wide at maturity. It is very unusual in being a mini/small that actually has reasonable blue colour. The diamond shaped leaves are of good substance, not as stiff as Blue Mouse Ears, but still not bad, and rapidly form a small, dense clump. Works very well in a collection of minis and once established is robust enough for the border. A Herb Benedict plant, seedling of Purple Verticulated Elf. Hosta ‘Slim and Trim’ is one of the best miniature hostas. It has a mound of blue green narrow, long leaves, a bit cupped, a bit twisted, a bit wavy, and clumps up quickly, and forms a dense clump topped with lavender flowers on 18" scapes. It is sun tolerant as well as slug resistant.
