Hosta Winter Snow forms a substantial, broad mound approximately 75cm-90cm in height, with a spread of up to 150cm at maturity. This vigorous, white-edged sport of Hosta Sum & Substance exhibits striking colour contrast between its chartreuse leaves and white margins. The leaf margins initially emerge yellow but turn to white by summer. The slightly glossy, corrugated leaves create a notable presence in the garden. This plant can tolerate some sunlight, which causes the leaves to take on a more yellow hue. In mid-summer, it produces pale lavender flowers borne on 125cm scapes. Additionally, Hosta Winter Snow is also resistant to slugs. It has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
