Hosta American Dream will form a medium sized mound of 22"-28" in height, with a spread of up to 60" at maturity. It has lime-green leaves with a creamy white margin. Very nice cultivar with some chartreuse leaves. None scented lavender flowers appear on scapes of up to 40", in July, lasting into August. When in full shade leaf margins have less colour. Slow to moderate grower. For at least 2-3  years it remains small in size, and finally matures after 4-5 years. Slug resistant for most of the season and sun tolerant, but not midday sun.
