Hosta American Dream develops into a medium-sized mound reaching a height of 55cm-70cm, with a spread of up to 150cm at maturity. The foliage features lime-green leaves with creamy white margins, which exhibit reduced colouration when planted in heavy shade. This variety has a slow to moderate growth rate, remaining fairly small for at least 2-3 years and attaining full maturity after 4-5 years. In July, lavender flowers bloom on scapes up to 100cm tall, remaining well into August. Hosta American Dream is resistance to slugs and tolerates sun exposure, though it should be protected from the midday sun.
