Hosta Sea Dream will form an open, medium to large mound, measuring approximately 52cm-60cm in height with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. The leaves initially emerge as a fresh apple green but soon turn a bright yellow with a narrow white margin. The texture is highly seer suckered, enhanced by green staining in the recesses. In spring, the leaves sprout from red buds, like Saint Elmo’s Fire, which has even more seer suckered leaves. Pale lavender flowers appear against the yellow leaves, held on scapes up to 90cm tall. This plant thrives best in light shade.
