Hosta Blackfoot will form a small to medium Hosta of 30-30cm in height, with a spread of up to 45cm at maturity. It has elliptical shaped bright yellow leaves with red stems. The foliage starts the season bright green and becomes more yellow as the season progresses. An eye popping yellow variety with lovely thin leaves and pronounced veins. The petiole is darker at the base, hence the name Blackfoot. A prolific flowerer in the summer which are a stunning purple colour, before opening to paler lavender with purple stripes, in summer held on brown scapes of up to 45cm. This variety is sun tolerant.
