Hosta Orange Star will develop into a small to medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 25cm-30cm and spreading up to 50cm at maturity. This plant produces robust mounds of thick leaves, which are edged in green and exhibit an orange glow at the centre when exposed to morning sunlight, or yellow when grown in shade. The leaves are predominantly golden yellow with a thin dark green margin, and lighter green streaks appear where the leaf centre and margin overlap. For optimal colouration, it is recommended to provide this Hosta with bright morning sunlight, which will highlight the orange tones. When grown in shade, the leaves will present a yellow hue with dark green margins. Additionally, the plant displays creamy white to pale lilac flowers on 60cm scapes from July through August. It demonstrates a high tolerance for sunlight.
