Hosta Golden Tiara forms a compact, small to medium mound of 12"-15" in height, with a spread of up to 30", at maturity. It creates a mound of broadly oval to heart-shaped, mid-green leaves, up to 5" long, irregularly margined chartreuse. Over time, the the narrow cream margins change to golden yellow, before fading to cream. Profuse, deep lavender blooms appear in summer, rising on 24" long scapes, usually in July & last into August. Hosta Golden Tiara has better tolerance to dry soils than most other Hostas. Sturdy, vigorous and will grow happily in most gardens without any attention. Although not fully slug resistant it is quite sun tolerant. A superbly strong grower that can handle virtually anything. Great for beginners. RHS Award Of Garden Merit.
