Hosta Crown Prince will form a medium size Hosta of 10"-14", in height with a spread of up to 26" at maturity. It has a medium growth rate. Hosta Crown Prince has greenish-yellow leaves, irregular green streaking in centre, bright yellow leaves that fade to chartreuse later. Splashed, Streaky, Slightly shiny, narrow, rounded, leaves. May lose its variegation towards the end of summer. Try this variety in a bit of dappled shade but with some access to sunshine to keep the colour. It produces purple-violet flowers in August on scapes of up to 18" tall. It is not thought to be slug resistant, and grows in semi shade and full shade.
