Hosta Crown Prince is a medium-sized Hosta that reaches a height of 25cm-35cm and spreads up to 65cm at maturity. It has a moderate growth rate. The plant features greenish-yellow leaves with irregular green streaking in the centre, which transition, to chartreuse later on. The leaves are splashed, streaky, slightly shiny, narrow, and rounded. Variegation may diminish towards the end of summer. This variety performs well in dappled shade with some sunlight exposure to maintain its colour. In August, it produces purple-violet flowers on scapes up to 45cm tall. It grows well in both semi-shade and full shade conditions.
