This variety, a sport of Hosta Grand Tiara, features the same robust substance but with a lighter margin that transitions from pale yellow to creamy white during summer. As one of the latest additions to the Tiara group, this tetraploid sport exhibits excellent vigour and a compact growth habit similar to its parent. Hosta Grand Prize is distinguished by its wide gold margin, which quickly brightens to creamy white, making it an exceptional choice for shade gardens. It has good substance and is topped with dark lavender flowers on spikes that reach up to 45cm tall in midsummer. Renowned for its sun tolerance and slug resistance, many consider it the best in the Tiara Series.
