A sport of 'Grand Tiara' with the same heavy substance, but with a lighter margin, pale yellow turning creamy white in summer. This superb tetraploid sport of Hosta 'Grand Tiara' is the latest and greatest of the Tiara group. With the same excellent vigour and compact growth habit of its parent, Hosta 'Grand Prize' boasts a very wide gold margin that quickly brightens to a creamy white. This dazzling clump is a "must" in all shade gardens. Good substance. In midsummer, clumps are topped with 18"' tall spikes of dark lavender flowers! A sport of the popular 'Grand Tiara'; considered by many to be the best in the 'Tiara Series'. Sun tolerant and slug resistant.
