Hosta Hush Puppie will form a miniature mound of 6"-8" in height, and a spread of up to 18" at maturiy. Leaves are of good substance, boldly margined cream, with a glaucous cast to them, unusual in this sized Hosta. Pretty in flower with many spikes of rich lavender blooms held above the foliage on 30" scapes, from mid June into July. After a couple of years in a container this is one of the minis that can be planted out due to its strong growth rate and robust leaves. Because Hosta Hush Puppie grows so quickly, it can easily be divided and spread around the garden or shared with friends. Slug resistant and sun tolerant apparently.
