Hosta Lakeside Banana Bay will form a medium to large mound, of 40cm-45cm in height with a spread of up to 50cm at maturity. This Hosta features shiny, rounded leaves with bright yellow centres bordered by green. A third colour, a paler green, streaks between the centre and margin. This variety is a sport of Hosta Lakeside Meter Maid. Pale lavender to nearly white flowers emerge on 60cm scapes in mid-summer. It is recommended to plant Hosta Lakeside Banana Bay in dappled shade only. The leaves exhibit prominent veins and good substance, which is slug resistant.
