Hosta Magic Island will develop into a small to medium-sized mound, reaching 25cm-30cm in height and spreading up to 50cm at maturity. This highly attractive member of the Hosta Halcyon family features thick leaves with a bright gold centre, bordered by an irregular wide blue-green edge that expands over time. The leaf centres gradually transition to a cream colour. As a sport of Hosta Catherine, it inherits many of its characteristics, including an upright growth habit with lightly cupped, thick, slug-resistant, and sun-tolerant leaves. In mid to late summer, lavender flowers emerge on 40cm scapes. Hosta Magic Island is a superb addition to any collection, performing well at the front of a border or prominently displayed in a container with other plants.
