Hosta Vulcan will form a medium sized mound of about 18"-22" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. It is an eye-catching mound of broad, heart-shaped leaves with pure white centres, dark green margins and pale yellow streaks jetting in between.  Vigorous, once established, slow to start, it is ideal for dappled shade. Hosta Vulcan is a sport from Hosta Captain Kirk and much like its parent, is a strong grower once established. Excellent growth rate for a white-centred hosta. This hosta will shine in any garden. Star-like lavender flowers appear in mid to late summer, rising on 24" tall white scapes. This is slug resistant and sun tolerant.
