Hosta Vulcan will form a medium-sized mound, reaching a height of approximately 45cm-55cm, with a spread of up to 90cm at full maturity. This Hosta features striking, broad, heart-shaped leaves with pure white centres, dark green margins, and pale-yellow streaks in between. Initially slow-growing, Hosta Vulcan becomes more vigorous once established. As a sport of Hosta Captain Kirk, it shares its parent’s robust growth characteristics once settled. Notably, it exhibits an excellent growth rate for a Hosta with white centres. During mid to late summer, star-like lavender flowers emerge on 60cm tall white scapes. Additionally, this variety is both slug resistant and sun tolerant.
