Hosta Mellow Mood will form a small to medium mound of 12"-16" in height, with a spread of up to 22". It  is a smaller growing sport of Hosta Whirlwind, with thick and slightly twisted leaves. The wavy leaves have a limey -yellow centre with prominent veins framed by a dark green irregular border. Clump stays smaller and the leaves twist outward and upward. The centre turns brighter white over the weeks. A lovely variety small-medium variety that always stands out. Lavender flowers appear on 24" scapes during July and into August. Said to be slug resistant as well as sun tolerant.
