Hosta Mellow Mood will form a small to medium mound, reaching a height of 30cm-40 cm and a spread of up to 55 cm. This variety is a smaller growing sport of Hosta Whirlwind and features thick, slightly twisted leaves. The wavy foliage is characterised by a cream centre with prominent veins, bordered by an irregular dark green margin. The clump remains compact, and the leaves exhibit a twisting upward and outward growth pattern. Over time, the centre brightens to white. Lavender flowers bloom on 60 cm scapes from July through August. It is slug resistant and sun tolerant.
