Hosta Albopicta will form a medium mound with an open habit, reaching 45cm-60cm in height and spreading up to 125cm at maturity. In spring, it produces slender, heart-shaped, creamy-yellow leaves with dark green margins. As the leaves mature, they lose their variegation and become more green. In midsummer, the plant produces spikes of funnel-shaped, lavender flowers on 100cm scapes. The leaf colours may improve with some sun exposure, although shade at midday is beneficial.
